LGBTQIA+ people have always been part of our communities and workplaces; only recently have more LGBTQIA+ people felt safe enough to live and love openly. In spite of cultural and legislative progress, LGBTQIA+ members and colleagues still face bias, frequent harassment in daily life, and discrimination. Organizations that promote diversity, equity and inclusion must be clear that people of all sexual and gender identities, orientations and expressions are valued and welcome.
