Search Committee Training: Search Compliance and Fundamentals

This training will provide you with the tools and resources necessary to understand the expectations of a search committee member and give you a deeper understanding of the search process and importance of serving in this critical role on behalf of Oregon State University. 

This training uses the Bridge platform and is expected to take 25 minutes for completion.

Recruiting Diverse Talent

This course provides a refresher on why diversity, equity and inclusion make good business sense before focusing on bias: what it is, how to identify it during the hiring process, and practical steps that can be taken to address it in order to recruit diverse, talented candidate pools.

DEI in Remote Work Environments

This training provides an overview of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and remote work, ways in which remote work can promote and challenge DEI efforts, and practical strategies designed especially for promoting inclusion in remote workplaces.

This short, self-paced training is directed at managers, employee resource group members, HR professionals, and anyone invested in DEI work in their organization.

The course takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Intent into Action: Community of Practice Meetings

Once you have completed the workshop series Intent into Action: The Black Lives Matter movement as an opportunity to advance authentic inclusion, you may choose to engage with your peers in a community of practice that supports all phases of the Intent into Action planning process, including implementation. Facilitators Anne Gillies and Jane Waite lead these quarterly meetings, designed as “drop in” opportunities for on-going learning associated with the Intent into Action workshop series.

Compliance in the Classroom

Many aspects of the classroom experience are connected to state, federal and institutional compliance directives. Join staff from the Office of the Registrar, Disability Access Services, and Equal Opportunity and Access to learn more about faculty responsibilities related to accommodating students (disability, pregnancy, religion, and military deployment) and responsibilities related to reporting sexual misconduct, discrimination, harassment and child abuse. There will be time for questions, case studies, and consultation.
