How can I leverage text-generating AI tools to support my daily workflow? 

Join the Center for Teaching and Learning in an open-studio approach to explore generative AI together. We’ll use an “explore, create, share, reflect” model to apply AI tools such as ChatGPT and Copilot to common workplace tasks. 

All levels of experience with AI–including total beginners–are welcome.

This two-hour DIY Course Design Bootcamp provides opportunities to learn crucial decision-making approaches to (re)design a course, such as working backwards. Leave prepared to start the (re)design of a course after thinking about its alignment of learning outcomes, assessments, and learning activities!

AI tools can enhance teaching and learning but also pose significant challenges. In this talk, we will explore how instructional faculty can incorporate AI as part of their teaching practice. We will also hear from students who have used or experienced AI in education and learn from their perspectives. Join us for this engaging and informative session on how to harness the power of AI in education while addressing its potential pitfalls.

What’s ChatGPT, and why am I hearing about generative AI every day now? How can I leverage text-generating AI tools to support my daily workflow? Can I save time and increase my productivity? What are the ethical concerns? This workshop will help answer these questions while providing hands-on practice. 

Insurance and Risk Management Services will facilitate a workshop for unit leaders and supervisors to provide exposure to the DFA Risk Appetite Statements and Risk Assessment Tools. Attendees will gain hands-on practice and develop the skills necessary to assist other employees in understanding and incorporating the DFA Risk Appetite Statements and Risk Assessment Tools into their work. Registration is required.

Cold calling facilitates the inclusion of a broad range of voices in discussions. However, the practice is associated with increasing the potential for student discomfort and anxiety. Join us to discuss strategies for warming up the cold call to support inclusive participation while respecting student autonomy.
